This being my very first blog post for Head on Radio, let me start out by thanking Bob for this tremendous opportunity to liveblog the biggest, most important conference of liberal and progressive activists and bloggers on the planet. I’m tremendously honored and humbled to get the call.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with me, my name’s Matt Osborne and I blog at www.OsborneInk.com. I’m a mildly disabled veteran and a very blue dot in the very red state of Alabama. My news is fairly liberal, but never unbalanced.
Here’s the plan for Netroots Nation: Bob and his colleague Guy James will send everything they can over the wire as streaming audio. That way, you can listen to keynote events and panel discussions live — or, you can listen to them later. Since many important things will be happening at the same time, this allows you access to the entire conference at your leisure, without the inconvenience of flying to Pittsburgh.
Meanwhile, I’ll be updating this blog throughout the next three days to catch you up on the news and events taking place here. This conference will help shape the direction of progressive actions for the next year, so there will be immense piles of very important information available. Just consider a few of the panel discussions on offer:
